Napa River Exploration
Discover the northern reach of the San Pablo Bay, where salt and freshwater meet on the Napa River. This adventure spans the largest distance of the Napa River with our knowledgeable guides. Our team will teach your guests the basics of paddling and water safety before launch. Together you hit the water to paddle through restored salt water wetlands, historic downtown Napa, the Oxbow Preserve and up into the fresh water forest of the Oak Knoll AVA, the most northern reach of the San Pablo Bay.
As one of the most biologically diverse regions in the San Francisco Bay Area, paddlers may see river otters, turtles and a variety of birds on this leisurely round-trip, two hour paddle. Our guide will discuss the ecological history of the Napa River past and present and paddlers will learn about it's rich habitat and wildlife.
