Kayak or Stand Up Paddelboard

Stay active while on vacation in Napa’s famous wine country with a stand up paddle or kayak trip on the Napa River. All great cities have a healthy river running through it and The Napa has come alive once again! This "Fenway Park of water sports" once produced major league baseball mitts and leather-trim for luxury cars, and now showcases the resilience of nature. Since restoration began fifteen years ago otter and beaver have returned and both steelhead & salmon are on the rise! The Napa River is an anchor watershed and one of the most biologically diverse rivers in the Bay Area.
There’s a nature-lover in all of us and if you’re one who wants to get up close and personal with the most beautiful views that the Napa Valley has to offer, you will love the Napa River Eco Tour & Paddle Picnic. This tour celebrates the diversity of the Napa River and the energetic and lively ecosystem of its vibrant habitats. With our knowledgeable guide at your side, this tour spans the largest distance across the Napa River. Together you hit the water to paddle through restored saltwater wetlands, historic downtown Napa, the Oxbow Preserve and up into the freshwater forest of the Oak Knoll AVA, the most northern reach of the San Pablo Bay. Our guide will discuss the ecological history of the Napa River past and present and paddlers will learn about it's rich habitat and wildlife and enjoy a picnic lunch along the river.
